Scroll Poetry

On some of my scroll drawings i like to add short poems to make them a better gift and feel more special for the person receiving them. I wrote your name in the sand, but the waves washed it away.
So i wrote your name in the sky, but the wind blew it away.
So now iv' wrote your name in my heart, and that is where it shall stay.

You brighten everyday,

with the thoughtful things you do,

and when i see your happy smile,

"Together Forever" - In-Progress!

So i have decided to give you all a sneak preview of the Poster drawing i am currently in the middle of. It is one for Me, my Girlfriend (Sheree), and my Son (Jak). Have a look at the quick snap shot i took of the upper half of the drawing and please let me know what you think. As this drawing is still in-progress, your feedback and suggestions can be used by me and worked into the finished piece.

As you can see, i have only drawn in the love hearts, the banner that wraps around them, the names on the banner, and some roses. I have still to draw in all the rest of the poster which, so far im planning on filling with some leaves, flowers, and maybe a bird or two. As i mentioned above, please reply below with any thoughts you have for this.

Montage One!

So here it is, as promised, the first SQ Drawings montage using images from all the drawings, posters & scrolls created and uploaded so far. I created this simple montage using only the image editing software on my computer "Paint", taking the photos of my drawings, posters & scrolls, cutting & moving them around untill i got the finished peice below..

Me To You - Liam Loves Kacy

This scroll drawing was done for my friend Liam from Liverpool to give to his girlfriend Kacy. It has been done on A3 paper and only a led pencil, some colouring pencils, a black ball-point pen & black felt-tip pen has been used.

 

 

I do apologise for the poor quality of photo, i have already given him this scroll drawing and can no longer get a new photo of it, so this will have to do. It is good enough to see the images i have drawn on the scroll, but shadows can be seen and it isnt quite straight.

Whats Coming Next?

Hello everyone, i thought i would just write a small entry today letting you all know what is now coming next, and also when the first Product Review & Drawing & Colouring Techniques Entry will be. Initially i was planning on posting my first product review today and then after that, my first drawing & colouring technique entry a few days later, but now, they will be be put on hold and both will be posted in March 2013.

So whats happening this month? You may ask, well, in a few days time i will be adding my latest Scroll Drawing which i have just finished. It was for my friend Liam to give to his girlfriend Kacy. I have already given him it and he said she loved it, but don't worry. i got a few photos of it before it went.

So, as i said, this was just a short entry letting you know whats going on & what to expect next on my blog.
